As I mentioned, I would just resign to using the 3rd party apps for Hue control except that I've found that the official Hue app is important to have for bridge updates among other things.

My payment info is all up to date and I've had no problems downloading other apps, though, again, this app is free, so I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on. I'd be grateful for any suggestions and feedback if anyone else has experienced this with the Hue app or any other app.
