Right now, my uTorrent is downloading and I'm hesitant to stop it for fear of having to start all over again. My torrent and data locations are unchanged from session to session and specified in the directories preferences. After my download completes I don't want to mess it up , I will reset my cache settings per your advice and see what happens.
I'm not sure what you mean by windows session. I really messed myself up. I waited until my download was completed before trying anything new with uTorrent.
Although I meant to copy the completed download to a safe location, I guess I copied the wrong file. So uTorrent knows where the files are, but doesn't seem to recognize partial files. My guess now is that uTorrent must write some info on it's downloads to the registry or to some location other than the data directories. Does this sound right to you? Registry is unrelated. You save data where it says Z: is mapped to someplace else on the host PC.
